How do the modules come together?

The content you will find in this website goes along 4 different modules, the first will focus on the development of one's personal resources, the second will put emphasis on the interpersonal relationships within the organisation (or unit) for which they are responsible, the third will focus on the dynamics of the institution as such, and its relationship with other agencies, whether under Christian and Jesuit auspices or beyond, and finally the fourth module will delve into the commitment to service at the margins, or --- to use Pope Francis’s phrase --- the ‘peripheries’.

CALLED TO LEADERSHIP

"Were not our hearts burning?"

Luke 24:32

The focus of this first module is on us, the individual, on how we develop our gifts and vulnerabilities and how we grow interiorly.

In this drawing we see Jesus handing a flame to Ignatius of Loyola, a leader, just like you. But he trusts him with more than just a flame, it is a mission, it's the Spirit.

LEADERSHIP FOR AND WITH OTHERS

"A fire that kindles other fires"

General Congregation 35 D.2

We move from the individual dimension to focus on how we relate with others, with our team. Specifically, we will look into how to inspire them for mission.

In the drawing we see how the flame is shared amongst equals making the Ignatian family grow across the centuries with different men and women.

CALLED TO LIVE IN ORGANISATIONS

"Afire with zeal to help others"

.

This module will focus on the importance of organisational development and culture in the life of institutions today.

In the drawing we see how we are all called to carry the mission entrusted to us from institution to institution. To provide the organisation with an inspiring vision to serve others.

LEADERSHIP AT THE PERIPHERIES

"Go, set the world on fire"

Ignatius of Loyola

This module is a call to rediscover a commitment to the marginalized and the poor, a preference for a Church “bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets”.

In the drawing we see how each individual, through their organisations and with their teams, go out to the world to change it for the better.
